Professional Registration

All Physit physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and only work within the scope of practice outlined by these registration bodies.

Consent

Before any treatment is carried out, a full explanation of the purpose and any potential risks, side effects of any treatments will be provided. This may include mobilisation, manipulation, manual therapy techniques, soft tissue massage, acupuncture, exercise prescription and other adjuncts.

You reserve the right to decline physiotherapy treatment at any point. Your therapist may need to share information with others directly involved in the care of yourself or the person you are signing on behalf of.  This may be in reports for other health professionals to guide their care or for referrals on to other medical professionals.

Photos and Videos

Your therapist may suggest taking photos or a short video of you to assist with your assessment and/or treatment. If you agree to this and give us your consent these will be kept securely under the rules of Data Protection and our Privacy Policy.

Data Protection

We have reviewed and updated our policies, processes and procedures to comply with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR together, (GDPR) and have updated this Privacy Notice accordingly.

Payments

Payments for all completed appointments must be made in full within 7 days of your appointment date. Payments can be made by bank transfer or via an online payment link (powered by Stripe).

We are unable to accept cash or cheque payments. 30+ day overdue invoices are subject to a 7% late fee.

Cancellations

If notice of cancellation is received more than 24 hours prior to the appointment, no cancellation fee will be charged. If notice of cancellation is received within 24 hours prior to appointment a 100% of the appointment fee will be charged.

Insurance Payments

We only work with the following health insurance providers: BUPA International, WPA, CIGNA. If you wish to claim through your private health care insurance, you must discuss this with Physit prior to your initial assessment. Clients must provide a pre-authorisation number or guarantee of payment letter prior to the first appointment. Physit Limited is not responsible for any non-payments of claims and Patients are expected to pay any outstanding amount not covered by your insurers.

Travel

You may incur travel charges in addition to your appointment charge when the total travel time to and from your appointment exceeds 1 hour. Additional charges will always be confirmed by Physit Limited.

Complaints

Physit aims to provide the highest quality services possible through the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. Whilst the vast majority of clients have a good experience, we do not underestimate the emotional, and sometimes physical, impact on users who have a less positive experience.
