I was so lucky to discover PHYSIT a few months before my spinal fusion surgery! I met with Jordan - one of their physios - while looking around for respite ... care at Albert Suites and was so pleased that I could start a prehab programme with him from my home... walking more than short distances was difficult. Jordan was very knowledgeable about my condition and the operation I was having which gave me confidence to work with the exercise programmes he gave me. He was also great to talk with about my questions/concerns on the operation and how it might affect my quality of life - I'm a keen hillwalker and my reason for having the op was to get back to doing the things I love. The prehab physio sessions definitely made a big difference to my fitness going into the operation which meant my recovery has been much better than I'd expected. I am writing to thank you for your excellent clinical skills. Francis, my husband, is 93 years old. Due to low blood pressure he has had many falls. His last ... fall was the worst. He broke his hip and his right leg. Francis spent 4 months in hospital after his operation and received very little physiotherapy due to the shortages in our NHS. Just before we were discharged his physiotherapist told me that she did not expect Francis to be able to support himself in a walking frame. With your excellent care, Francis has been able to walk, using a walking frame and a 4-wheel walker. I am very grateful for your help. Read More

2 or 3 years ago I realised that walking on very uneven surfaces was increasingly difficult and that, eventually, I froze when going down even a few steps, and needed ... help to do so. I heard of the Falls Prevention Programme and, although I had not fallen, I thought this could be what I needed. It was! Twice a week, for 8 weeks, supervised by a physiotherapist, there were 2 sets of apparently simple but challenging exercises - I have followed this with fortnightly sessions, focussing on balance, to ensure that progress is maintained. Shortly after I had finished the initial programme I went on holiday to the Hill Towns of Italy - to my absolute amazement and delight I realised that the terrain was no problem and I was able to go up and down steps without thinking about what I was doing and with nothing to hold on to. This is wonderful for me as it means that I can continue the holidays and activities which I have always enjoyed. Read More

Always called in good time and flexible in arranging appointments. I requested only morning appointments and they were always arranged. All four physiotherapists were very knowledgeable and helped me achieve ... my goals of recovering after my broken ankle in July 2023. Shoko was particularly helpful in setting up my shower so I can use it again, which I could not do initially when I had my cast removed. It was always a pleasure just chatting to Jordan, Ryan and Felina about the process of recovery and other things. I will miss my physiotherapists but feel I have achieved my goals. I have sadly just had my last physio session with Jane and I would just like to tell you how fantastic she has been. She came to me a week ... after my total knee replacement and her ability as a physiotherapist her kind friendly manner and great sense of humour are second to none. I would like to thank Jane for her recent treatment. I slipped a disc in my back which resulted in a visit to A&E. Jane was recommended by a friend ... and I was able to arrange an appointment within a few days. Jane was happy to do a home visit (which was fantastic as I couldn’t walk or sit!) Jane arrived ensuring the Covid-19 guidelines were followed throughout my initial assessment and subsequent treatment sessions. Within 4 sessions the pain had disappeared and my back was more or less back to normal. Jane performed medical acupuncture and tissue massage on me. In addition, she gave me a personalised exercise regime via the PhysiApp which was really useful as the exercises can be quite tricky on remembering how to do them correctly. Jane was friendly and professional throughout my treatment. Val from Physit was also excellent! He ensured I knew what to expect and sent useful reminders for my appointments. PhysiApp is also great – you can easily follow the exercises set for you and record your progress. I would highly recommend Physit in future!! Read More

"I used the services of Physit following a road accident which resulted in me having pins down one side of my ankle and a plate down the other. I needed ... almost a year of physiotherapy to get back on (both!) my feet. I cannot praise highly enough the expertise, the kindness and the care I got from my physiotherapist. "I visited Physit and Phoebe Machin when I developed knee pain following a suddden increase in my exercise intensity. I was immediately reassured by Phoebe as she listened to my ... story and concerns. She spent a great deal of time assessing my knee and examining various exercises that she asked me to do. After a couple of sessions with her and some homework to do at home in the guise of various exercises and stretches, my knee felt entirely back to normal again. I was given the green light to go ahead and exercise again and I have never felt better.
